ISLAMABAD: A group of a morning show publicized by a private TV channel has been busy with four other individuals on charges of sacrilege. 

The case was enlisted at the Margalla police headquarters on Wednesday on a dissention of the administrator of the Namoos-i-Risalat Forum, Rao Abdul Rahim.

Mr Rahim, an attorney, said that in one of her projects the host had organized fake marriage of two men and two ladies and abused a melody respecting the wedding of Hazrat Ali (RA) and Bibi Fatima (RA).

He said a protest against the suspects was stopped with the police headquarters in June however they declined to enlist the FIR.

Later, a request was recorded in the Islamabad High Court.

The IHC requested the police to enlist the case however they took months to do along these lines, the complainant said.

Police said the case had been enlisted under the Pakistan Penal Code's area 295a (planned and malevolent acts expected to shock religious emotions of any class by offending its religion or religious convictions), 295c (utilization of harsh comments, and so on., in appreciation of the Holy Prophet – peace be upon him) and 298a (utilization of disdainful comments, and so on., in admiration of sacred personages.
