WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif repeated the need to battle terrorism when they talked, the White House said on Saturday.
The White House affirmed that Mr Obama telephoned the leader on Friday however points of interest of the discussion varied from what had been issued in Islamabad prior.
The Islamabad variant said that the US pioneer called Mr Sharif to educate him about his choice to visit Delhi in January to go to the Indian Republic Day festivals.
The White House variant did not specify the visit and rather centered around the security circumstance.
President Obama called the head administrator to "examine exertions by the United States and Pakistan to development imparted diversions in a steady, secure and prosperous Pakistan and locale," it said.
"The two pioneers emphasized their dedication to battle terrorism and radicalism and to advance peace and strength in the locale."
Mr Obama and Mr Sharif reaffirmed the esteemed relationship between the two nations and the imperativeness of the US-Pakistan Strategic Dialog as an issue for managing the reciprocal relationship, the White House said.
The president respected Pakistan's enhanced ties with the new Afghan government.
