5 LI Men Dead And 7 Peace Committee Members Injured In Khyber Clash
PESHAWAR: Five activists have been slaughtered alongside a key Lashakar-e-Islam officer Spinbat, in a conflict wthin the Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency. The Lashkar-e-Islam activists assaulted a checkpoint manned by parts of the Touheed-ul-Islam peace board of trustees.
Authority sources say that the activists assaulted the peace board of trustees volunteers in the remote Narai Baba range of Tirah Valley. This prompted a firearm fight between the two gatherings and left 5 aggressors dead including their key officer Spinbat.
The seven peace volunteers that were left harmed in the conflict had a place with Tauheed-ul-Islam, a breakaway faction of Zakakhel tribesmen from inside Lashkar-e-Islam.
The Lashkar-e-Islam activists had been assaulting the check post for various days.
Today's conflict comes as security powers are occupied with Khyber-1, a hostile against Lashkar-i-Islam (LI) dens in territories under the Mangal Bagh-headed bunch's control in Tirah and Bara in the northwestern tribal area.
The Khyber Agency is one of Pakistan's seven semi-self-sufficient tribal districts in the territory, where Pakistani Taliban and Al Qaeda-joined activists are said to have cut out fortresses.
