LOS ANGELES: Two cops were killed and two individuals injured in California on Friday when a man went on a shooting spree, authorities said, having at last made up for lost time with the suspect after he went on the run. 

The roughness - which was extended over a few wicked hours and two regions and started a monstrous police manhunt - started around 10:30 am the point at which a police appointee went to examine a suspicious vehicle stopped at a lodging in Sacramento.

As he approached, the driver opened blaze and struck the appointee in the brow, Sacramento Sheriff Scott Jones told a news gathering.

The delegate, Danny Oliver, a 15-year veteran who was hitched with two little girls, was slaughtered.

The shooter and a lady accessory who was additionally in the auto sped far from the scene.

A brief time later, they carjacked a vehicle and when the driver opposed, he excessively was shot in the head, Jones said.

His condition was not quickly known.

The pair then carjacked an alternate vehicle, this time a red pickup truck, without harming the driver, and dashed off into neighboring Placer County.

Some place along the way, two more cops were shot. One of them was murdered, powers told neighborhood media.

A police representative in Placer County, Dena Erwin, said a suspect had been found and taken into care.

Neighborhood media recognized him as Marcelo Marquez, 34, and said he was captured by police in a home in Auburn and diverted on a stretcher. He had not been shot, police said, and was alive.

"Occupants can rest guaranteed, they can about-face outside once more," Erwin told news hounds.

The lady suspect was captured prior.
