Shah urges Shareef to initiate process for CEC's appointment

ISLAMABAD: Leader of Opposition within the National Assembly, Syed Khurshid Ahmed monarch, has urged 

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to initiate the method for appointment of the chief election 

commissioner (CEC) instantly.

According to his spokesperson, the opposition leader had written a letter to the prime minister and 

reminded him that the necessary constitutional workplace had been lying vacant since the resignation 

of retired Justice Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim on July thirty one last year.
