“DUKHTAR” is being released on the Day of Independence of Pakistan, 14th of August. The theatrical Teaser of this film was released. Those who have watched the teaser are of the opinion that this film would be liked by the viewers and it would be a step towards the revival of dying film industry.
The story of this film revolves around a mother and her daughter who is ten years old. To avoid the marriage of daughter with a tribal chief, The mother decides to run away with her daughter and she does so.
Sammiya Mumtaz, a popular actress is playing the role of the mother. Among other actors, there are Adnan Shah Tipu, Ajab Gul, Mohib Mirza and Samina Ahmad. This film is made by Afia nathanial. The distributor of the film are GEO Films.
It is pertinent to mention here that “Operation 021” a film by Zeba Bakhtiyar would also be released on 14th of August. So, there would be a healthy competition between the two films.
